Beauty And The Beast

Disney Enterprises - Personal Name; Rachel Wilson - Personal Name; Jane Rollason - Personal Name;

This book is a highly simplified adaptation of the classic French fairy tale popularized by Disney. The narrative focuses on Belle, an intelligent and book-loving young woman who is confined to an enchanted castle. Belle takes the place of her father, who was imprisoned by the Beast, a prince cursed to live as a terrifying monster due to his selfishness. Inside the castle, Belle makes friends with the cursed castle staff, who have been transformed into amusing household objects like Lumière and Mrs. Potts. Belle must learn to look past the Beast’s terrifying exterior and recognize the kindness and soul within. Conversely, the Beast must learn to love and earn love in return to break the curse before the last petal of an enchanted rose falls, condemning him forever.
