The Night Flunked My Flied Trip

Henry Winkler - Personal Name; Lin Oliver - Personal Name;

"The Night I Flunked My Field Trip" follows the chaotic adventures of fourth-grader Hank Zipzer, who is known for his creative mind but constant struggles with reading, writing, and schoolwork due to his undiagnosed dyslexia.

Hank is thrilled about his class field trip: a sleepover aboard an old-fashioned, three-mast sailing ship called The Pilgrim Spirit in New York Harbor. His excitement grows when the ship's captain selects him to be his first mate. However, Hank's unique way of doing things—including trying to learn knot-tying by creating elaborate knots on his own—backfires spectacularly. He inadvertently causes a major catastrophe: setting the large sailing ship adrift into the harbor. The supposed "best field trip of the year" rapidly turns into the worst night of Hank's life, leaving him to figure out how to save the day and avoid his parents finding out.
